 Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe (Kitchen) I’ve been using Cuisinart coffee makers for many years now and they rarely disappoint. When my last one went out I stepped up to this model largely because of the 14 cup size. It’s nice to have a little extra capacity for those times you have company over.This machine has been in use for a couple of years now and it’s still working like new, and I use it every single day since I work from home. It looks great on the counter, it’s easy to clean, and as long as you stock up on the charcoal filters and clean it when the clean light starts blinking, you’ll be enjoying great coffee from this thing for years.I don’t know what else to say about it other than it works well, looks good, and it brews good coffee.     		 Capresso 464.05 CoffeeTeam GS 10-Cup Digital Coffeemaker with Conical Burr Grinder (Kitchen) I have owned the previous model of this coffee maker that I have had for several years and have love d. I just returned a gold box deal on the new model and here is why. In the old model the grinder was separated from the steam by a basket which swung away. There was absolutely no way that the steam could get into the grinder or the chute through which the grounds fell into the basket. In the new model, the two are housed together, the problem is that steam from the basket fills the chute and at least some gets into the grinder itself. The result? The chute clogs up. This is the reason that there are so many complaints here about coffee strength and the reason the coffee maker breaks down so often! 2 I

    		 Cuisinart DCC-RWF 1 Replacement Coffeemaker Water Filters, Set of 2 (Kitchen) I bought these replacement charcoal filters for our Cuisinart coffee maker. Reviews for the coffee maker raved about how the filters make a difference and help you start with good water to get good taste. We had a Braun coffee maker for decades with no filters and we have hard water, and I don’t taste any noticeable difference now with filters, so I can’t rave, but they are not very expensive and certainly can’t hurt.Charcoal should take out off-odors, some impurities, etc., but I don’t know the efficiency of these little filters. I suspect that when the filters that come with the coffee maker reach their end, you could just take them out (don’t leave them there forever, they could eventually leak charcoal dust into the coffee which would be annoying, or maybe get moldy) and run it without any filter cartridges at all, but again, they probably help some and can’t hurt and they are not expensive.They make a more noticeable difference if you have water with odors (sulfur, etc.) than they do with mine. Meanwhile, I bought a year’s supply of replacements to enable Amazon free shipping, which further reduces the cost.

We purchased the filters from Amazon.com, and we are very satisfied.It took them a week or so to arrive, but that was due to they came from Europe. I was please about that. The ones we purchased from a store which did not fit since they are strictly fit to the Keurig Kcups, are made in China, and when it comes to things having to do with a food source, I definately stay away from China, who knows how clean the charcol is that they use in the filters!     Black & Decker CM1650B 975-Watt 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Brew Strength Selector (Kitchen) This coffeemaker is really good. I love the design and it makes very good strong coffee. I use Dunkin Donuts coffee and it makes the same or even better then getting it in the actual Dunkin Donuts.The temperature is decent. If you are looking for burning hot, then go elsewhere. I like the blue clock display and cleaning function. The removable filter is great as I was always using those paper filters and I think that is why the coffee tastes a lot better now. It has a removable charcoal filter(one included) that is easy to put inside and it says to replace after 2 months. Company Jar
